Habitat:
Mesic prairie on level bed of Glacial Lake Agassiz. Microtopographical variations with wet-mesic to dry-mesic prairie. Associated species include Andropogon gerardii, Sorghastrum nutans, Agropyron repens, and Poa pratensis.
