Strongly-rolling forested moraine ... along the shores of an undeveloped [lake]. Moist shallow organic substrate in a zone 1-3 feet above lake level and 6-12 feet from the water's edge. Partial shade of the adjacent forest: Ulmus rubra, Tilia americana, Populus tremuloides, Quercus rubra, and Acer spicatum. Associated species include Carex atherodes, C. stipata, Phalaris arundinacea, Impatiens capensis, Mentha arvensis, Lycopus uniflorus, Lathyrus palustris, Scutellaria lateriflora, Eupatorium perfoliatum, Pilea fontana. Verbena hastata.
