Habitat: Level to gently-rolling outwash plain ... patterned rich sedge fen in large wetland complex ... in broad flarks dominated by Carex lasiocarpa. Deep, quaky, saturated sedge peat over marl. In water up to 24 inches deep (above average precipitation for spring/summer to date). Full sun. Additional associates include Utricularia intermedia, U. minor, Equisetum fluviatile, Carex limosa, C. chordorrhiza, C. prairea, Eriophorum gracile, Eleocharis elliptica, Muhlenbergia glomerata, Calamagrostis inexpansa.
