Habitat: in shade beneath patches of mature Larix laricina (and in sun beneath dead Larix) along [creek]. Moist peat. Associated species include Toxicodendron rydbergii, Cornus stolonifera, Carex interior, C. brunnescens, C. leptalea, C. prairea, C. hysteracina [sic], Thelypteris palustris, Lathyrus palustris, Caltha palustris, Rubus pubescens, Galium tinctorium.
