Habitat:
Fairly rugged moraine...in pasture heavily grazed by cattle. Compacted sandy-loam. In level to rather steeply-sloping areas. Full sun. Associated species include Poa pratensis, Agropyron repens, Phleum pratense, Danthonia spicata, Trifolium repens, Medicago lupulina, Carduus acanthoides.
