Habitat:
in small wet prairie remnant along 80 yds. of road right-of-way. Level terrain. Moist, sandy soil. Road bisects natural drainage. Full sun to partially shaded by young Populus tremuloides and Corylus americana on margin of aspen woods. Associates include Poa pratensis, Andropogon gerardii, Platanthera flave, Pedicularis canadensis, Geranium maculatum, Thalictrum dasycarpum, Salix humilis.
