Habitat: Moist low area in a Maple Basswood forest. Flat, poorly drained area with some Ash in the wetest parts. Exceptionally rich in spring ephemerals. Associated with Dentaria laciniata, Dicentra cucullaria, Caltha palustris, Claytonia virginica.
