Habitat: Frequent in wetter depressions between Sphagnum hummocks near periphery of large tamarack swamp. Full sun to partial shade of Larix laricina & Picea mariana. Associates include Alnus incana, Carex stricta, Galium asprellum, Solidago uliginosa, Aster borealis, A. puniceus, Polygonum sagittatum, Thelypteris palustris, Rhamnus alnifolia.
