Habitat: On large sand bar on downstream end of the island. Substrate varies from silt to sand to gravel. Full sun. Associated species include Cyperus squarrosus, C. diandrus, Eleocharis intermedia, E. acicularis, E. ovata, Eragrostis hypnoides, Panicum philadelphicum, Ludwigia palustris, Lindernia dubia, Gnaphalium uliginosum, Polygonum lapathifolium, Mollugo verticillata, Amaranthus tuberculatus, Plantago major.
