Habitat: In a brushy roadside habitat ... Associated with Rhus glabra, Celastrus scandens, Rhus radicans var. rydbergii, Crataegus punctata.
Description: A single specimen 4 meters tall with 5 stems each 7-8 cm in diameter. Stamens ca 10, anthers white. Compound thorns present on main stem only. Fruit red, L=1.05-1.2 cm, W=.95-1.15 cm. Nutlets 3, rarely 2. Collected from the same stem as #25673 (flowering specimen).
