Habitat: large calcareous seepage fen. Spongy. saturted, deep, marly peat. Associates include Carex sterilis, C. tetanica, C. lasiocarpa, C. buxbaumii, C. aquatilis, Scirpus pungens, S. acutus, Muhlenbergia glomerata, Calamagrostis inexpansa, Andropogon gerardii, Aster borealis, Parnassia palustris, P. glauca, Lobelia kalmii, Solidago riddellii, Triglochin palustris, T. maritima, Pedicularis lanceolata, Cirsium muticum, Galium boreale, Lysimachia quadriflora, Betula glandulifera, Salix candida.
