Habitat:
spring fen surrounded by tamarack-black spruce swamp. Full sun to partial shade of stunted Larix laricina and Picea mariana. Deep, Quaky, Saturated peat fed by subtle flow of upwelling groundwater ... in areas of low-statured vegetation. Associated species include Carex prairea, C. interior, C. gynocrates, C. aquatilis, Eriophorum viridi-carinatum, E. angustifolium, E. chamissonis, Caltha palustris, Spiranthes romanzoffiana, Utricularia intermedia, Galium labradoricum, Sparganium minimum, Betula glandulifera, Salix candida, S. pedicellaris.
