Habitat: wet-mesic hardwood forest on loamy soil ... in and near seeps directly along southern shoreline. Apporx. 140 yards from lake. Leaf litter thin, worms seem present. Canopy of Fraxinus nigra and Tilia americana with occasional Ulmus americana. Ground layer associates include Osmunda cinnamomea, Arisaema triphyllum, Asarum canadense, Circaea alpina, Osmorhiza claytonii, Carex pedunculata, and Phryma leptostachya.
