Habitat: Strongly-rolling forested moraine ... along the undeveloped north shore ... At base of steep, 60-foot, south-facing slope. In partial shade of Quercus macrocarpa, Ostrya virginiana, and Betula papyrifera. Dry sandy-loam. Associated species include Poa compressa, Campanula rotundifolia, Desmodium canadense, Amorpha canescens, Toxicodendron rydbergii, Rubus strigosus, Prunus virginiana, Salix bebbiana, Vitis riparia.
