Habitat: small calcareous seepage fens "hanging" on slight, gradually-sloping terrace on mid-slope of fairly steep, 70 foot, south-facing slope forming the bank of ancient river channel. Heavily-grazed pasture. Mostly on downslope margins of several distinct discharge zones. Saturated peat. Associates include Juncus nodosus, J. alpinoarticulatus, Rhynchospora capillacea, Carex sterilis, C. hysteracina [sic], C. granularis, Scirpus pungens, Cyperus bipartitus, Triglochin palustris, Sagittaria latifolia, Eleocharis palustris.
