small Jack Pine savanna. In sunny areas between scattered Pinus banksiana. Sandy soil. Associates include Andropogon gerardii, Sorghastrum nutans, Luzula multiflora, Poa pratensis, Pedicularis canadensis, Zizia aptera, Aster oolentagiensis, Achillea millefolium, Equisetum arvense, Geum triflorum, Lobelia spicata.
