Habitat:
emerging from dense herb cover on low decayed burn piles and adjacent gravelly soils of old logging landing now wildlife opening. With B. multifidum, B. spp., Danthonis spicata, Fragaria virginiana, Trifolium pratense, Aster macrophyllus, Trifolium hybridum, Anemone quinquefolia, Vaccinium myrtilloides. Opening surrounded by 70 year old red pine plantation, mixed forest and clear cut.
