Habitat: Ancient sand dunes now vegetated with dry prairie and moderately open oak forest. Plants collected from open site on top of dunes with scattered patches of mostly bare sand. Overall prairie dominated by Stipa, Schizachyrium, Koeleria, and Bouteloua with Tradescantia and Lithospermum. Immediate associates include Hudsonia tomentosa, Physalis, and Tradescantia.
