On exposed wet soil of logging trail through mixed conifer swamp and other associated wetlands. Associated species: Carex interior, C. cryptolepis, C. michauxiana, C. lenticularis, Eleocharis nitida, E. smallii, Scirpus microcarpus, Drosera rotundifolia, Lycopodiella inundata.
