Habitat: Collected in tamarack swamp in broad bottomlands ... Site had severe peat fire in 1980's. Under low canopy cover of Larix laricina and Populus tremuloides. Soils are peaty muck with water table at surface. Associated with Cornus stolonifera, Betula glandulifera, Calamagrostis canadensis, Thelypteris palustris, Lycopus uniflorus.
