Associates include Ribes hirtellum, Rhamnus alnifolia, Viburnum trilobum, Cornus stolonifera, Toxicodendron rydbergii, Saxifraga pennsylvanica, Cypripedium reginae, Platanthera hyperborea, Thelypteris palustris, Rubus pubescens, Impatiens capensis, Caltha palustris, Carex disperma.
