Habitat:
Mesic forest within ravine, lower portion of south-facing slope. Overstory of Tilia americana, Ulmus americana, Fraxinus pennsylvanica; shrub layer heavily dominated by Rhamnus cathartica with Acer ginnala and Viburnum opulus var. opulus; herbaceous layer with Geranium maculatum, Arisaema triphyllum, Viola sororia, Circaea lutetiana, Leonurus cardiaca, Erigeron strigosus, Cryptotaenia canadensis.
