Habitat: growing in shallow water on margin of small lake within a sugar maple - basswood - (aspen) forest. Growing with Lycopis [sic] uniflorus, Cicuta bulbifera, Typha latifolia, Carex lacustris, with Fraxinus nigra and Quercus macrocarpa on nerby shoreline.
