Habitat:
In peatland ... along the northwest shore of a shallow, boggy, ~40-acre lake. Full sun ... rooted in supersaturated, unconcolidated muck churned up by wildlife and floating on the near-shore portions of the lake. Also, a few plants in wet peat on the edge of the floating rich sedge fen mat surrounding the lake. Associates include Scirpus smithii, Cyperus odoratus, Zizania palustris, Typha x glauca, Utricularia gibba, Brasenia schreberi.
