Habitat: Large peat bog with scattered Sphagnum and tamarack (no ericads), dominated by Carex lasiocarpa var. americana. Associated with Scheuchzeria palustris var. americana, Parnassia palustris var. neogaea, Carex chordorrhiza, Scirpus hudsonianus, Eriophorum tenellum.
