Habitat: Gently rolling forested terrain ... In small (1/4-acre) vernal wetlands embedded in rich hardwood forest. Shaded by partial canopy of Fraxinus nigra. In wet mucky soil and shallow water to 12 inches deep.
Associated Species: Phalaris arundinacea, Ranunculus flabellaris, Glyceria striata, Cardamine pensylvanica, Sium suave, Lemna minor, Mentha arvensis, Alisma triviale.
