Habitat: Small calcareous seepage fens "hanging" on slight, gradually-sloping terrace on mid-slope of fairly steep, 70 foot, south-facing slope ... in center of several distinct discharge zones amidst overgrazed pasture. Deep saturated peat. Associates include Carex sterilis, C. granularis, C. tetanica, C. hysteracina, Juncus alpinoarticulatus, Scirpus pungens, Muhlenbergia glomerata, Triglochin palustris, Lysimachia quadriflora, Lycopus uniflorus, Parnassia glauca, Gentianopsis procera, Lobelia kalmii, Aster borealis.
