Habitat:
small, boggy, sedge fen in depression in strongly rolling, wooded, morainal terrain; Full sun to partial shade of Larix laricina. Continuous Sphagnum moss carpet. Associates include Vaccninum oxycoccus, betula glandulifera, Chamaedaphne calyculata, Eriophorum chamissonis, E. angustifolium, Carex lasiocarpa, C. chordorrhiza.
