Habitat: Rolling terrain; forested poor fen / tamarack swamp. Canopy dominated by Larix laricina with scattered Pinus strobus. Continuous Sphagnum carpet. Associates include Vaccinium oxycoccus, V. angustifolium, Ledum groenlandicum, Kalmia polifolia, Andromeda glaucophylla.
