in shallow water (12-18 inches deep) at narrow township road (minimum maintenanc) bridge crossing. Cool, spring-fed stream. In areas of slack water and moderate current. Sandy-gravel substrate. Full sun. Associated species include Potamogeton pectinatus, Lemna minor, Sparganium fluctuans.
