Rather strongly rolling forested moraine ... on moderately steep, 15-foot, south-facing slope in old pasture clearing ... in dry, compacted, silty-sand. Full sun. Associated species include Poa compressa, Digitaria ischaemum, Ambrosia coronopifolia, Potentilla argentea, Rumex acetosella, Euphorbia glyptosperma, Asclepias syriaca, Lepidium densiflorum.
