Habitat: In old channel of [river] ... in small seepage-fed meadow amidst tamarack-willow-alder swamp and marsh complex. Along base of gradual, 50 foot, southeast-facing slope partially mined for gravel. Partial shade of Salix discolor, Cornus amomum, and Fraxinus pennsylvanica. Wet, spongy, organic substrate. Associates include Carex lacustris, C. stricta, C. hysteracina [sic], Leersia oryzoides, Phalaris arundinacea, Sparganium eurycarpum, Pedicularis lanceolata, Impatiens capensis, Lysimachia thyrsiflora, Aster puniceus, Liparis loeselii, Chelone glabra.
