Habitat: Rolling drumlin plain ... margin of small (~10-acre) degraded cattail marsh on broad forested drumlin ... Full sun to partial shade of Populus tremuloides growing on adjacent upland. Mucky mineral soil, typically in shallow water (6-18 inches deep following recent heavy rains). Associated species include Carex lacustris, Phalaris arundinacea, Glyceria grandis, Alisma triviale, Lemna minor, Salix petiolaris.
