Habitat: Rather strongly-rolling terrain...small, remnant patches of dry prairie and in areas of level open sand recovering following past mining for sand / gravel. Full sun. Associated species include Poa pratensis, Schizachrium [sic] scoparium, Cyperus schweinitzii, Sporobolus cryptandrus, Poa compressa, Hedeoma hispida, Ambrosia artemisiifolia, Conyza canadensis, Physalis virginiana, Solidago nemoralis, Potentilla argentea, Lechea intermedia, Melilotus alba.
