Habitat: Black spruce swamp growing with Picea mariana, Abies balsamea, Thuja occidentalis, Aralia nudicaulis, Clintonia borealis, Acer spicatum, Coptis trifolia, Mitella nuda, Streptopus roseus, Vaccinium angustifolium, Lonicera canadensis, Cornus canadensis, Galium triflorum. Growing in a hummock of Sphagnum moss.
