Habitat: In a brushy opening between a pine-fir forest and the river ... Associated with Salix bebbiana, Crataegus chrysocarpa, Cornus rugosa.
Description: At peak anthesis this date. A small single-stemmed tree 5.2 m tall, and 9 cm dbh. Stamens ca 10, anthers white. Compound thorns present, simple thorns very long. Collected from same stem as WRS26819 (fruiting).
