Habitat: Elongate minerotrophic wetland complex between low, north-south trending drumlins...rich fen dominated by Carex lasiocarpa. Saturated peat though no surface water. Quaky, mossy substrate (non-Sphagnum here). Full sun. Additional associates include Campanula aparinoides, Epilobium leptophyllum, Aster borealis, A. puniceus, Triadenum fraseri, Scutellaria galericulata, Thelypteris palustris, Dryopteris cristata, Galium trifidum, Potentilla palustris, Agrostis scabra, Muhlenbergia glomerata, Ribes hirtellum, Betula glandulifera, Salix petiolaris, Larix laricina.
