Habitat:
On southeast-facing, 20- to 50-foot ferrodiorite cliffs, on steep upper portion of the mountain; on ledges and in crevices. Full sun, to shaded during latter part of the day. Associated species include Solidago canadensis, Aquilegia canadensis, Woodsia ilvensis, Potentilla norvegica, Poa sp.
