Habitat: Fairly rugged forested terrain ... in large central portion of small (seven-acre) basin. Poor fen dominated by Carex lasiocarpa. Deep, saturated, moderately quaky peat. Full sun to partial shade of stunted Larix laricina and Picea mariana. Additional associates include Carex canescens, C. chordorrhiza, Chamaedaphne calyculata, Ledum groenlandicum, Vaccinium ozycoccus [sic], Betula glandulifera.
