Associates include Eriophorum gracile, E. chamissonis, Carex chordorrhiza, C. lasiocarpa, Glyceria canadensis, Ledum groenlandicum, Chamaedaphne calyculata, Vaccinum oxycoccus, Andromeda glaucophylla, Smilacina trifoliata.
