Habitat:
in small, dry prairie "remnants" which occur sporadically along several miles of Hwy...In broad right-of-way on north side of road. Sandy soil. Sull sun. Associates include Festuca ovina, Andropogon gerardii, Geum triflorum, Heuchera richardsonii, Phlox pilosa, Lithospermum caroliniense, Artemisia ludoviciana, Sisyrinchium montanum, Viola pedatifida, Apocynum androsaemifolium, Solidago speciosa.
