Habitat: In shrubby poor fen on west end of lake. In full sun to partial shade of Betula glandulifera, Alnus incana, and stunted Larix laricina.. Spongy saturated peat. In continiou s carpet of Sphagnum moss. Associated species include Carex lasioacarpa, Eriophorum gracile, Thelypteris palustris, Calla palustris, Drosera rotundifolia, Lysimachia terrestris, Aster umbellatus, Solidago uliginosa, Triadenum fraseri, Potentilla palustris, Sarracinia purpurea, Salix pedicellaris, Vaccinium macrocarpon.
