in five acre boggy floating mat in small depression surrounded by wooded 20-40 foot hills. Strongly-rolling morainal terrain ... Some plants partially shaded by Larix laricina. In moist carpet of Sphagnum moss. Associates include Carex chordorrhiza, Eriophorum gracile, E. angustifolium, Calla palustris, Scirpus cyperinus, Eriophorum gracile, Triadenum fraseri, Epilobium leptophyllum, Petasites sagittatus, Potentilla palustris, Typha angustifolia, Viola renifolia, Betula glandulifera, Salix petiolaris, S. pyrifolia, S. discolor.
