Associates include Carex chordorrhiza, Eriophorum gracile, E. angustifolium, Calla palustris, Scirpus cyperinus, Eriophorum gracile, Triadenum fraseri, Epilobium leptophyllum, Petasites sagittatus, Potentilla palustris, Typha angustifolia, Viola renifolia, Betula glandulifera, Salix petiolaris, S. pyrifolia, S. discolor.
