Habitat: Growing in thin soil over quartzite outcrops on small channel that appears to see some surface flow and pooling of water. Associated with Eleocharis wolfii, Eleocharis compressa, and Eleocharis ovata, Veronica peregrina, Lythrum alatum, Gratiola neglecta, Rumex sp., and Polygonum sp. Considerable invasion by Phalaris arundinacea along pool margins.
