Habitat: Gently-rolling terrain ... In moist / wet ecotone between conifer swamp and upland aspen forest on edge of a drumlin. Shaded below Abies balsamea, Picea mariana, Ulmus americana, and Populus tremulides. Associated species include Carex stricta, Glyceria striata, Betula glandulifera, Cornus stolonifera, Caltha palustris, Lycopus uniflorus, Petasites frigidus var. x vitifolius, Bidens sp., Aster puniceus, Rubus pubescens Impatiens capensis.
