Habitat: on mossy hummocks in patches of tamarack swamp dominated by Larix laricina along [creek]. Full shade to partial sun. Moist to rather dry peat. Associated species include Carex brunnescens, C. leptalea, C. peckii, C. hysteracina [sic], Glyceria striata, Cornus canadensis, Linnaea borealis, Trientalis borealis, Rubus pubescens, Toxicodendron rydbergii, Picea glauca.
