Habitat: Large wetland complex in rolling forested moraine ... narrow (~75 yards wide), 3/4-mile long zone of rich sedge fen between tamarack swamp to the west and aspen forest on upland to the east. Deep, saturated, sedge peat. Mostly in full sun ... Associated species include Carex lasiocarpa, Eriophorum gracile, Muhlenbergia glomerata, Thelypteris palustris, Equisetum fluviatile, Galium labradoricum, Potentilla palustris, Aster borealis, Cicuta bulbifera, Typha x glauca, Salix petiolaris, S. candida, and scattered small Larix laricina.
