Habitat: In a dry-mesic forest on a moderate northeast-facing slope. Habitat dominated by Quercus macrocarpa and Tilia americana. Associated with Sanguinaria canadensis, Arisaema triphyllum, Phlox divaricata ssp. laphamii, Carex peckii, C. sprengelii.
