Habitat: In fairly extensive poor fen forming broad band on the shores ... northwest side of the lake, ~20-50 yards from the water's edge. Full sun. Deep, quaky, saturated peat. In continuous carpet of Sphagnum spp. mosses. Associated species include Eriophorum chamissonis, E. vaginatum, Carex utriculata, C. lasiocarpa, Vaccinium oxycoccus, Chamaedaphne calyculata. Replaced by Carex lasiocarpa elsewhere in this poor fen.
