Habitat: on outer margin of 10-acre poor fen. Immediately behind 5-foot high ice-push ridge which defines the lakeshore here. Wet mucky substrate at edge of peat blanket. In Sphagnum moss. Mostly in full sun. Associated species include Carex lacustris, Smilacina trifoliata, Epilobium leptophyllum, Lysimachia thyrsiflora, Vaccinium myrtilloides, Alnus incana.
